Mary Weig is an award winning artist who earned an MFA in Painting from SUNY at Buffalo. Her work is in collections around the world. She says about her work: “Lately I have been called the Bird lady. Inspired by extensive travel in Europe, India and most recently Hawaii I have exclusively been painting birds in lush environments evocative of joy and paradise. Loving the small contained miracle that is a bird I can find unending inspiration in the plumage and symbology of these winged creatures. My hope is that these paintings will bring joy and reverence to all viewers.
